It's hard to take pictures in the early afternoon and not create shadows as you lean closer and closer to a rose. I must say, though, I don't mind the shadow at all. In fact, I think it makes this photo perfect- having half in shadow and half in the light. My favorite picture from the Biltmore Gardens.
