Say Hello, Wave Goodbye

Okay, I know that this song by David Gray doesn't really apply in the lyrical sense, but it's been in my brain for DAYS. The reason being that Andy (who is the guy in the stylish, bright orange Farm Bureau hat) is officially moving away today. Last night was the "culmination event" of three nights of Andy. It was like a special engagement tour for his friends. :) Wednesday night Chris and I went out to dinner with Andy and some of the other guys from the Farm. Thursday night we went out to Frankie's and played some putt-putt. True to form, Chris battled Gerhardt for first and I was in a heated and tiring race for last. Turns out Dean is worse at mini-golf than me. The other thing we learned was that Gerhardt has NEVER ridden on Go Carts. This, of course was the supreme tragic moment of the night that we felt we needed to rectify immediately. Leave it to the German guy to kick everyone's ass in mini golf (we're convinced it's the applied math he is skilled in) and then dominate on the race track his first time in the cart. Sheesh! Gerhardt had a learning curve that worked at the speed of sound! Once he passed Dean no one could catch him.

I'm kicking myself this morning because I would have LOVED to have remembered the camera. That was a fun night. We played some arcade style games, teased Andy about leaving the Farm, and eventually left like the old guys we are. Andy had to pick up his dad from the airport and we all had to work Friday morning. *sigh* Last night was a good group for dinner: Chris, me, Dean and Nashon, Andy, Jay (Andy's dad), and Jamie (Andy's girlfriend). We all went to Bone Fish, which was great food! Had some coffee at Caribou, where the manager gave me free chocolate mousse (we love free and chocolate!). And now, Andy, Jamie, and Jay are probably close to being done packing Andy's stuff up and heading to Richmond to Jamie's place. Poor Chris and Dean- one less person to pontificate on the poisoning effects of working at The Farm. One less guy to tease in Star Wars quotes.

Thank god for online gaming. :)
